Dr. Claudio Ferrante is assistant professor in Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Biology at the Department of Pharmacy “G. d’Annunzio” University Chieti-Pescara.
Since 2020, Dr. Claudio Ferrante has obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in “Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy” and as Associate Professor in “Pharmaceutical Biology and Botany”.
The research activity of Dr. Claudio Ferrante is mainly focused on the study of composition and biological effects effects of herbal extracts.
These studies have been supported with both public and private funds.
Dr. Claudio Ferrante is co-author of more than 130 Scopus-indexed publications in peer-reviewed international journals. He has participated as a speaker at numerous national and international congresses.
Currently, he is also scientific responsible of several projects focusing on phytochemical fingerprint and biological properties of Cannabis sativa (industrial hemp) extracts.
